J.P. Lalonde has been a sheep farmer for more than 20 years. He keeps a flock of close to 300 sheep at his farm north of Kingston, Ontario. He also breeds, trains and competes border collies at sheep dog trials.
Recently I did a story on Kim Ondaatje, who in March of this year won a Governor General's Award for outstanding contribution to the arts. It was a pleasure to be able to speak with this woman and see her home. She is truly amazing -- at 81, she is still maintaining her large rural property mostly on her own, and keeps four energetic dalmatians.
